Our seeds have a story.

Nurtured, grown, and harvested on repeat, Samwise’s seeds come from a place of heritage. Cultivated for decades of growing seasons, our seeds have shown resiliency and hardiness while producing respectable yields and flavorful bounty. Initially the practice of our founder’s grandfather-in-law, his same tradition of tender care has been upheld and fortified through years of organic and regenerative gardening. To us, they’re a treasure worth sharing.

Our Seeds

“Mr. Stripey” // heirloom tomato

Lover of a good tie-dye, these yellow and red heirloom tomatoes are reminiscent of a tequila sunrise—and just as refreshing. The sweet, low-acidity fruit with traditional beefsteak girth are a family favorite, perfect as an avocado toast topper, as the star of Panzanella salad, or, honestly, by itself with a generous pinch of sea salt.

Time to maturity: 55–80 days

“Big Juicy” // beefsteak tomato

Large and in charge, the “Big Juicy” (as grandad used to call them) is an impressive fruit. With strong yields peaking in late July or early August, our family loves these flavor-packed beefsteaks in Caprese salad, an extra-thick slice on a burger, or rough-chopped over a creamy pasta primavera.

Time to maturity: 70–90 days

“Early Girl” // globe tomato

Reliable and high-yielding, the “Early Girl” is the leader of the pack when it comes to tomatoes. Emerging in June, these vine-growing dandies will provide a vibrant, balanced fruit the size of a tennis ball. Chop them up over nachos or a salad, or pick a few clusters to make a beautiful garlic marinara.

Time to maturity: 40–60 days
